Fredric the teddy bear amigurumi Pattern

The release of the Classic Miffy Amigurumi Crochet Kit and XL Miffy Amigurumi Crochet Kit marks Stitch & Story’s first foray into the wonderful world of amigurumi knitting. The response was overwhelming as many of you enthusiastically embraced our new kits and began your journey with the amigurumi. Our sewing patterns and starter kits contain everything you need to complete your Miffy projects, but we’ve rounded up a few additional amigurumi knitting tips and tricks to help you really master making your Miffy.

The magic ring (magic loop) is the foundation of every component and member of our XL and Classic Miffy sets. This is an ingenious crochet technique that allows you to work clothes in a circle, creating a tightly closed center. This is such an important part of the amigurumi that we have created a separate blog post dedicated to the magic loop. The post you can read here includes an alternative chainstitch method if you’re not a fan of the magic ring (magic loop) yet.
