Amazing Crochet a Granny Square Patterns and Images

The Ginny Granny Square Tunic Pattern

Grandma’s square is a classic crochet pattern. This is often one of the first things a person learns when they first learn to knit. Many people use the term grandma square to refer to any type of crochet square, but this tutorial will show you how to make a real grandma square. There are many variations on this basic design.

After you master the basic technique of crocheting grandma’s square, you can expand the design to make various useful and decorative items. From blankets and clothing to accessories such as bags and napkins, granny blankets are versatile and add color and style to your home and wardrobe. To knit Grandma’s square, you will need yarn and a crochet hook. You can use any type of yarn and any size crochet hook, although comb and H-hook yarns are an easy place to start. For best results, use the recommended crochet hook for your yarn as indicated on the yarn label.

I’ve been so horrible finishing my patterns lately so I can share my good hooks with all of you! I finally finished the pattern for my Ginny Granny Square tunic. Anyone else who likes a granny?

This one has been in the works since last fall, but if you hate weaving ends and have the attention of a squirrel when it comes to new projects … it takes a while to get done. (And I admit, I’m a little bit engrossed in wedding planning …)
