17 Amazing and Beautiful Crochet Bag Patterns

Teacher’s C2C Modern Tote Bag Crochet Pattern

Crocheting isn’t just a hobby for retired grandmothers – it’s a craft or even an art form that is gaining in popularity. Crochet is both practical and creative, and can be a great way to watch Netflix productively on cold, rainy days. Here we give instructions on how to create a simple bag using basic crochet techniques. This pattern can be adapted to suit almost any size and style of bags.
It was a really fun project for me because it worked fast and felt very “summer”. If you follow the blog, you may remember that I shared the Eco-String Market Knitted Bag Pattern (here) and have received requests for a knitted bag since then. This is definitely the lightest bag I’ve ever made (see my other bags here and here), but also one of the most durable.

Or you can buy the PDF Pattern above for a neat clean version of the printer-friendly pattern.
The pattern is written in English using US terms.
Pattern Level: Intermediate
This pattern uses the Stitch Block in Corner to Corner Technique to create a rectangle. A C2C graph and a written chart are provided. Instructions for the block strip are not provided, please feel free to contact me to refer to instruction video for the C2C Technique.
