Lulu Jumper Crochet Pattern
Baby blankets and baby afghans are lovely crochet projects. They are both useful and beautiful. They make great baby shower gifts and are also great for charity knitting or crocheting.
In the photo: a sample of an Afghan heart for girls. You can make a childish version of this Afghan by using blue, green and yellow instead of the colors shown in the image.
We have published a wide selection of free Afghan baby crochet patterns. There are models for both boys and girls, and many of them are unisex too.
The Lulu Jumper is an oversized brioche stitch sweater with dropped shoulders and a loose, boxy fit.
The jumper is worked in the round from bottom to top before separating it at eyelet height to work back and front separately. The shoulders are joined using the 3 intertwined needles, forming a decorative chain along the seam. Then pick up the stitches around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round and pick up the neckband and knit twisted ribs to finish.
